Minimizing the stock in hand via dropshipping and its benefits

The wholesale products are directly shipped by the drop shipper to the patron so there is no need of setting up an own warehouse or take it on rent. Besides that, wholesale supplier doesn’t have to endure insurance cost and other storage cost to preserve the wholesale products until they are sold. Shipping cost is also prevented as dropshippers are solely responsible for the safe delivery to the customer.
Speeding up delivery times:
Minimization of stock in hand also results in improved delivery times. A good purchased first by the wholesalers and then sold to the large retailers is a time consuming process. Dropshipping provides a solution to this by speeding up the overall activity of value chain by delivering the wholesale products quickly and directly to the customers.
Minimizes risks:
Minimization of stock in hand is a stress free and time saving solution to the wholesaler. He is not required to take the responsibility of any damage of the products in transit due to theft, fire and other uncertainty. All the risks are borne by the dropshippers and they are directly responsible to monitor the safe shipment until the wholesale products are delivered to the end consumers at their door step.
Hence, Dropshipping is a very effective way to minimize stock in hand. That is why it has become a common arrangement among the businessmen dealing in wholesale industry.
