Show Description: Off the Map is an American television Medical drama created by Jenna Bans, who also serves as an executive producer, with colleagues from Grey’s Anatomy, Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. It premiered on ABC on January 12, 2011, with 13 episodes ordered. The series is set in a remote South American village, where seven doctors search for reasons that brought each of them to medicine.

“Off the Map” revolves around three doctors, one of them played by Henderson, who, eager for a fresh start, go to work at an isolated tropical clinic.Welcome to “la ciudad de las estrellas”, a tiny town in the South American jungle which has one understaffed, under-stocked medical clinic. That’s where idealistic young Dr. Lily Brenner, along with fellow doctors Mina Minard & Manny Diaz, just landed running away from personal demons. Legendary Ben Keeton, who was the youngest Chief of Surgery at UCLA, walked away from it all to found the clinic.

Shonda Rhimes is executive producer on this new medical drama that will debut on ABC. Three doctors are transplanted from the U.S. to work in an isolated clinic in the tropics dealing with alternative medicine and a tight budget.
