Penny Stocks : Is It That Straightforward?
Exactly who isn’t interested in the dream of selecting a stock that rewards 400% on our investment. Through taking a look at the vast majority of advertising for penny stocks, you would think it was simple to make fast bucks. Stock trading history shows us the fact that the vast majority of folks fit into the category of those looking to make a fast buck. They claim that only 5% of those investing in the market make money. However, its the 95% that are attempting to make a quick buck who winds up giving their funds to the 5% which play it smart.
Penny stocks aren’t any different. You’ll find you have better odds heading to Vegas — at least the refreshments are free.
So why are people fascinated by penny stocks? Simple: greed.
It is in all of us. It’s in the promotion we have seen around us. It’s constantly about the fast solution, the quick profits, the instantaneous satisfaction. Instead of investing and looking to get a return of 11% per year, we all expect to get results of 50%, 100% and 400%. It’s greed in the most natural sense.
Am I in opposition to trading small cap stocks? Not at all. As a matter of fact, I am a big lover of small caps.
The catch is, it takes a particular attitude to profit from them. The fact is that, many people don’t possess what it takes.
Think about these questions:
–> can you afford to forfeit the amount of money you will be committing without this affecting your life. Imagine you lost 100% of your investment – what could the affects possibly be?
–> could you control your feelings? I don’t mean just steering clear of them or overlooking them. I mean coming head to head with your concerns? Penny stocks brings out the most severe of one’s worries and bring them to the front.
–> are you prepared to buy a number of positions before you’ll find the major winner? Position sizing is essential here. You are likely to go through a great deal of losing positions prior to get the winner.
–> do you have the money to go through numerous losses?
–> do you have the self-discipline to stick to an investing strategy after many losses?
Most people dont. I’ll be the first one to confess it took me quite a long time before I managed to get it. It also cost me lots of money.
Is it possible to do it? It is just not so simple as purchasing top recommendations through your favorite e-newsletter. They are paid for promotions and may only go up quickly and drop back. Do you want to complete your own due diligence? Are you ready to carry out some work on your doubts?
When you are, then you might be all set to invest in small caps. The main difference between being successful and disaster is you actually : are you ready to do what it takes?
